Who we are
Tasko is made by Devscot (“we”, “us”). For any privacy question, email .
What we collect
- Account details: your name, email address and the avatar colour you pick. We sign you in with one-time codes sent to your email; we never store a password.
- Team content: teams, projects, tasks, comments, due dates, estimates, approvals, activity history and invites you or your teammates create.
- Work settings: work hours, workdays, time zone, notification preferences and your choice of on-device or cloud AI.
- Voice and text you give the assistant: in the iPhone and Android apps, what you say is turned into text by your phone’s own speech recognition. In a web browser, the browser’s built-in speech service does this (in Chrome and Edge that service is run by Google or Microsoft; in Safari by Apple). Tasko only receives the resulting text, never the audio, and uses it to create tasks or answer your question.
- Device data for notifications: if you allow notifications, a push token for your device.
- Support messages you send us, and basic technical details you choose to attach.
We do not collect your contacts, location, photos or advertising identifiers, and Tasko does not record or store audio.
How we use it
- To run Tasko for you and your team: show work, workloads, risks and reminders.
- To power smart features: capacity, risk flags, deadline health, neglected-project alerts, summaries and the voice assistant.
- To send sign-in codes, invites and notifications you’ve turned on.
- To keep Tasko secure, fix problems and answer support requests.
AI processing
On this iPhone: on iPhone 15 Pro and newer with Apple Intelligence, you can choose to have Tasko understand your requests entirely on your device using Apple’s on-device model. Your words stay on your phone.
Cloud: otherwise, the text of your request and the minimum team context needed (project names, people’s names and workloads, open task titles and dates) is sent to Anthropic’s Claude API to create tasks, answer questions and write summaries. Anthropic does not use this data to train its models. You can switch modes any time in Settings → Voice.
Who processes data for us
- Convex — database and backend hosting.
- Anthropic — cloud AI (only when you use cloud mode or summaries).
- Resend — sending sign-in and invite emails.
- Expo and Apple / Google — delivering push notifications.
- Your browser’s speech service (Google, Microsoft or Apple, depending on the browser) — only when you use voice on the web.
Each processes data only to provide its service to us.
Who can see your content
Everyone in a team can see that team’s projects and tasks; roles (owner, admin, lead, member) control who can change what. Tasko staff access content only to provide support you ask for, keep the service secure, or comply with the law.
How long we keep it
We keep your data while your account is active. When you delete your account, we delete your profile, sign-in methods, sessions, notifications and push tokens, and remove you from tasks. Team content you created stays with the team unless the team owner deletes the team. Backups are cleared within 30 days.
Your choices and rights
- View and edit your profile in the app.
- Turn notifications and cloud AI on or off.
- Delete your account in the app (Settings → Account → Delete account) or as described on our account deletion page.
- Ask us for a copy of your data or to correct it by emailing .
Security
Data is encrypted in transit. In the apps, sign-in sessions are stored in your device’s secure keychain; on the web, in your browser’s local storage for this site. Access to the backend is limited and logged.
Children
Tasko is for work teams and isn’t meant for children under 16.
Changes
If we change this policy in a meaningful way we’ll tell you in the app before it takes effect.
